Bobby Harper
Emeritus Member of the Board
Prior to his retirement, Bobby Harper was the Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer of Renasant Bank. His career as an executive banker in the Golden Triangle extended over fifty years, and he was been deeply involved in the community throughout this time. Bobby served on the boards of the Lowndes Community Foundation, the Frank P. Phillips Memorial YMCA, and the Golden Triangle Regional Airport Authority and as a Rotarian. He was also president of the Helping Hands Board of Directors, treasurer of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Museum, and a Paul Harris Fellow. In addition, Bobby is past president of the Columbus Air Force Base Community Council, an emeritus member of the MUW Foundation Board of Directors, and previously served on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority, having been appointed by Governor Phil Bryant in 2012. His contributions to the community have been recognized through several awards, including the Mississippi University for Women Medal of Excellence (2005), the Exchange Club’s Book of Golden Deeds Award, and the Columbus Airforce Base’s Wingman Award. When he stepped down from the Lowndes Community Foundation in 2025, the CREATE Foundation’s Commission on the Future of Northeast Mississippi honored Bobby with the Jack Reed Sr. Northeast Mississippi Community Leadership Award. Bobby and his wife, Jo, have two children: a son, Lane, and a daughter, Neely Hudnall, as well as three grandchildren. They are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where Bobby has served as a junior and senior warden.
